An Elkhart woman died in a two-vehicle accident Monday in Cass County’s Porter Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said Margaret Willis, 68, died at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Kessington Road following the 5 p.m. incident.
Behnke said Giovanni Gonzalez, a 20-year-old Indianapolis resident, was driving north on Kessington Road when he failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. 12. His car struck Willis’ westbound vehicle.
Seatbelts were worn by occupants of both vehicles, Behnke noted.
