Police release name of driver in police chase

The name of the driver of a car that fled from Three Rivers officers last weekend has been released by authorities.

Bond for Brandon Michael Goodfellow, 24, has been set at $50,000 following his arrest Saturday.

Goodfellow and a 24-year-old female, both Sturgis residents, were wanted on a number of felony warrants. They were arrested following a brief pursuit that started near the intersection of U.S. 131 and Broadway Road

Goodfellow failed to stop for police and eventually drove north on 131 and east on Hoffman Street before ending on Sixth Avenue after he was unable to negotiate a sharp curve in the roadway.

The car came to rest against a group of trees. Goodfellow fled the scene on foot but was apprehended a short distance away. The female was arrested at the scene of the crash.

Officers seized a large volume of suspected stolen property along with other suspicious items.
