Jean Ann (Lipscomb) Summey, age 66, a lifetime resident of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
She was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Londonderry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carl E. and Nola June (Smith) Lipscomb and was raised by her stepmother, Gwinda Lipscomb.
On Dec. 26, 1985, she married James Alvin Summey in Sturgis. He preceded her in death March 16, 2013.
She was employed by Dometic in LaGrange for 29 years, was a member of Sturgis Salvation ArmyChurch, and enjoyed reading, making Christmas ornaments and crocheting.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Clouse Jr., Jason (Samantha) Clouse and Anthony Summey; three brothers, Jeff (Marsha) Lipscomb, Jerry Lipscomb and Larry (Elaine) Lipscomb; two sisters, Brenda (Willson) Montufar and Louise (Greg) Parker; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Summey; a brother; and two sisters.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
Services celebrating the life of Jean Ann Summey will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Captain Sharyn Tennyson, Sturgis Salvation Army, officiating. Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
