Leslie B. White, age 77, of Sturgis, passed away in Sturgis on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 surrounded by his family. Leslie was born in Kalamazoo on October 22, 1941, a son of Leslie White and Barbara Monroe. He attended Parchment Schools, graduating in 1959, and then went on to receive his Business Degree from Parson’s Business School.
On June 19, 1965, he married Eleanor Verduin in Kalamazoo; she preceded him in death on December 13, 2018. Leslie worked at Weyerhaeuser in Three Rivers for 25 years.
Surviving are his daughter Karen White (Tonia Warmack) of Sturgis, daughter Leslie (Tom) Hostetler of Shipshewana, and son Kevin (Heather West) White of Harriman, TN; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother Ted White of Allegan; and sister Ruby White of Kalamazoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie White and Barbara Ledbetter, and wife Eleanor White.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. No public services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions can be given to the family c/o Leslie Hostetler, 605 E. Country Rd., Shipshewana, IN 46565, to help with expenses.
