Beginning Monday (August 5th), there will be some bridge work being done on Business U.S. 131 in Constantine. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is going to be treating the surface of the US-131 bridge that covers the St. Joseph River.
According to a press release from MDOT, the work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, Aug. 28. The project is expected to extend the overall life of the bridge.
The $150,000 investment will include an epoxy overlay and pavement markings as well. There will be traffic restrictions through the length of the construction phase as well.
MDOT said there will be single-lane closers with temporary traffic signals throughout the process.
