Here’s a weekly update from the Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the U.S. 131 redevelopment project.
Stage 2 traffic pattern remains in place, as two-way traffic continues in the area of the M-60 junction as well as in the area of Hoffman Road at the north end of the project.
Meanwhile, road-building remains ongoing at William R. Monroe Boulevard, where box-culvert construction may start in the vicinity this week.
Also at the south end, permanent signal work at U.S. 131 and M-60 at the south end of the construction zone will be underway by mid-week.
In addition, underground pipe work and road building is underway north of Hoffman Road. Other random matters worth noting include utility relocation work will be ongoing throughout the project and the Rocky River bridge remains closed until the approach road work is completed and roadbuilding is finalized.
