Vernon Lee Hammond II, age 58, of Marcellus passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, following a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born on Jan. 28, 1961 in Muskegon, the son of the late Vernon L. and Joyce J. (Rohm) Hammond.
Mr. Hammond was formerly self-employed at Bubbas Tires and also worked in the expediting business.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, two daughters, Melanie Loree and Tara Winters, both of Three Rivers; one son Phillip Hammond, of Three Rivers, two sisters, Daleena (Doug) Carper, and Candi (Steve) Jensen; one brother, Scott Hammond; three step-children, Steven (Christine) Shivley, Nichole Day, and Laura Strohpaul. Ten beloved grandchildren, Tamera, Destiny, Lyndel, Dalente, Tyana, Contessa, Madison, Tatum, Eric, and Lilly; companion, Janelle Houser; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with Vernon’s wishes, cremation will be conducted and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Sam’s Bar, 60495 Lutz Rd, Three Rivers, MI 49093.
