Former Park Township supervisor passes away

A longtime township official in St. Joseph County passed away last week after a brief illness.

Joe Eichorn, former supervisor of Park Township, died Wednesday.

The 63-year-old Three Rivers-area resident was given medical leave from the Park Township Board of Trustees. Eichorn was elected township supervisor in 2008.

Ed English was subsequently named interim supervisor.
