A Three Rivers woman with a history of community involvement has been named interim director of the Three Rivers Public Library.
Bobbi Schoon was named to the position during a special meeting Thursday. She steps in after Lynn Schofield-Dahl announce earlier in the week her resignation. Schofield-Dahl declined to state why she chose to resign, stating only that it was a decision based on personal reasons.
Schoon, who has previously played a key role in the Three Rivers Area Mentoring program, was serving as assistant director. Board members during Thursday’s meeting indicated Schoon is a logical choice to fill the post until the board can secure someone to serve on a permanent basis.
The board agreed to compensate Schoon an additional $500 per pay period while she takes on additional duties related to her role as interim director.
