US 131 reconstruction update

Here’s the weekly update from Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the U.S. 131 reconstruction project in Three Rivers.

A Stage 3 traffic pattern is in place at the north end of the project, resulting in two-way traffic on the northbound portion of U.S. 131.

Meanwhile, a Stage 2 traffic pattern remains in place at the south end, where two-way traffic is to continue driving in the southbound lanes of U.S. 131 at the south end of the project.

Elsewhere, paving has been completed at the south end and roadbuilding continues on U.S. 131 in both directions of the Rocky River bridge to south of Hoffman Street.

As announced last week, Hoffman Street is closed to thru traffic until roadbuilding and paving are completed. In addition, bridge work in the southbound portion at the Rocky River bridge begins this week.

Permanent signal work should conclude for a traffic-pattern change on the southern end of U.S. 131 at M-60. Also, utility relocation work remains ongoing throughout the project.
