Helen May (Olson) Shellenberger, age 91, of DeWitt, Michigan passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, October 6, 2019. She was born in Muskegon on October 20, 1927 the daughter of Oscar and Grace (Miel) Olson.
In 1948 Helen was united in marriage to Jack William Shellenberger and together they celebrated 42 years of marriage until his passing in 1991.
She is also preceded in her passing by her parents, siblings: Violet Visger, Walter Olson, and Arthur Olson.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her daughter: Jackie (Butch) Lanphear; grandson: Jeremy (Kristen) Harvey; great-granddaughter: Julianna Harvey; brother: Raymond (Sharon) Olson; sister in-law: Evelyn Olson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Riverview Cemetery, 2300 Portage Ave, South Bend, IN.
Memorials made in Helen’s memory may be directed to The Sparrow Hospice and The Australian Shepard Rescue. Envelopes are available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
