A number of St. Joseph County-based teams and a few others on its fringe are involved in Michigan High School Athletic Association’s football playoffs.
In Division 4, 5-and-4 Vicksburg will take on 8-and-1 Paw Paw Friday night at Paw Paw.
In Division 6, Constantine will put its 7-and-2 record on the line against undefeated Niles Brandywine. The game, hosted by Niles, starts at 7 p.m. Friday.
Division 7 action will see a one-loss Schoolcraft squad host 6-and-3 Hartford on Friday, while 6-and-3 Centreville travels to 9-and-0 Lawton for a 7 p.m. contest, also on Friday.
In Division 8, 7-and-2 Mendon travels to Reading to take on the incumbent state champs in a 7 o’clock game Friday. Also at the same time, 7-and-2 White Pigeon takes on 9-and-0 Cassopolis in Cassopolis.
In 8-man playoff action, undefeated and No. 2-ranked Colon will host 6-and-3 Camden-Frontier at 1 p.m. Saturday.
