An Edwardsburg man was injured after the motorcycle he was driving struck two deer in Cass County’s Jefferson Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said Frank Kagel III, 51, was injured as a result of the accident, which occurred around 6 a.m. Thursday on Monette Street, near Brick Church Road.
Kagel was transported to Elkhart General Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet; neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the crash, investigators said.
