Sturgis police and fire personnel were called on separate occasions this week to Arden Park Street in response to incidents of malicious destruction of property.
Authorities said the fire department was summoned at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 3400 block in response to a detached garage on fire. Investigators noticed several areas of damage elsewhere to the building.
Firefighters suspect arson may have been the source of the fire.
Officers were then called Thursday to a report of malicious destruction of property, also in the 300 block of Arden Park Street. Officers found that an outbuilding was damaged overnight.
