Sturgis store robbed

A Sturgis convenience store was robbed by an armed suspect over the weekend.

Sturgis police said the incident occurred at 12:36 a.m. Sunday at Sunny Mart, located in the 1200 block of East Chicago Road.

Investigators said a male suspect entered the business and was wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and what appeared to be a black mask.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white passenger car that headed south on Pioneer Street after leaving the store’s parking lot.
