Suspect named in Park stabbing

Authorities have released the name of a Three Rivers man arrested late Tuesday following a stabbing in Park Township.

The suspect in the stabbing, Akinyele Bell Jr., 23, left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. He was found at a nearby property and tried to flee once again, authorities said, but was later arrested without incident.

The incident occurred in the 53000 block of North Fisher Lake Road, where deputies learned a 21-year-old female was the victim of a knife wound to the neck. The wound was determined to be non-life threatening.

Bell was taken to the county jail. He faces charges of assault with intent to commit murder and interfering with a 9-1-1 call. His bond was set at $5,000.
