Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A Sturgis man was arrested on drug-related offenses following a traffic stop over the weekend in Three Rivers.

Officer said the 47-year-old man was riding a moped Saturday and was stopped for a traffic violation on Middle Street near East Michigan Avenue.

The man was found to be driving on a suspended license. During an interview with officers, the man attempted unsuccessfully to hide various narcotics.

He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, according to officers.
