Vehicle stolen in Sturgis

A vehicle was stolen at gunpoint Wednesday outside a Sturgis residence.

Sgt. Damon Knapp said the incident occurred at 5 a.m. in the 200 block of North Prospect Street.

Knapp said the victim left his truck running in his driveway and returned inside his residence. During that time, an unknown subject dressed in black got into the truck and pointed a handgun at the resident who had returned to the vehicle,

The suspect left with the vehicle in an unknown direction.

The vehicle is a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, white in color. It is a four-door pickup with a dent on the passenger side door and Michigan registration plate CKR2762.
