Fabius Township house fire – Two fatalities

A woman and her daughter died in a fire Monday night at their Fabius Township residence.

State police said the victims were 37-year-old Michelle Bixler and 16-year-old Cheyenne Bixler. Due to the location of the fire in the residence, responding police and fire personnel were unable to enter the home until after the blaze was extinguished.

The fire took place in the 12000 block of Harder Road, between Youngman and Brick Chapel Roads.

First-arriving troopers observed the living room and garage fully engulfed, and overridden by flames. Troopers received information from fire personnel that three children were able to escape through a window.

Three surviving children were transported to Three Rivers Health for treatment.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the family.  Here’s the link:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/michelle-and-cheyanne-bixler-memorial-fund?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
