One inducted to Mendon Hall of Fame

Mendon High School recently held its 23rd annual Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.

Event officials said the Hall of Fame committee makes selections based on nominations it receives through the year.

The main requirements are that the nominee must be a graduate of Mendon High School, and they bring honor to their community and hometown. That honor can be career choice, service to the country or community, or many other types of positive characteristics. This year, one person was selected.

Lee “Bruty” Griffith, MHS class of 1962, was this year’s inductee. The selection was based on Griffith’s community service and dedication to student-athletes at Mendon as well as Constantine, where he coaches.

Griffith’s plaque was added to the high school’s Hall of Fame trophy case.
