Teen injured in Cass County crash

A 17-year-old Cass County resident was injured after the vehicle he was driving was rear-ended last week in Volinia Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called at 7:50 a.m. Thursday to Marcellus Highway, near Lawrence Road.

Upon further investigation, they found that Cassopolis resident Riley Bush was turning into a private driveway when his vehicle was struck from behind by a car driven by 17-year-old Madison Brady, of Cassopolis.

The collision caused both vehicles to go off the roadway and strike a cluster of trees.

Bush was transported to Three Rivers Health, while Brady was treated at the scene.
