Search continues for Constantine superintendent

Constantine Public Schools Board of Education recently approved the hiring of Michigan Leadership Institute to conduct a search for a new superintendent.

MLI was one of two organizations to apply for the search job.

John Jarpe currently serves as interim superintendent at Constantine schools following the resignation of Steve Wilson, who was hired as superintendent at Bronson Community Schools in December.

MLI regional president Dave Killips said the cost for the search is $5,800 plus expenses, which will not exceed $1,750.

Killips said the district will put an anonymous questionnaire on its website for community input and subsequently meet with support groups.

School board president Terry Burgess said it’s important for the community to be involved in the process.
