Margene Lucille Wordelman, age 91, of Three Rivers, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the home of her loving daughter, Karen. She was born in Hamill, South Dakota on July 22, 1928 to Raymond and Jane (Imboden) Savage.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved taking part in the preaching with her friends in Florida as well as Michigan. As she got older, she always looked forward to the many visits from the friends at the Kingdom Hall.
Margene married the love of her life, Norman, on May 21, 1944 at the age of 16. In 1960, they moved to the country to settle into a life of dairy farming. Even after a hard day, she always had time to sit on the swing with her grandchildren to sing “You are my Sunshine” along with other songs. She will be missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years: Norman Wordelman, 4 sisters: Lorene, Luella, Marilyn, and Betty; and her daughter: Norma VanZile.
Margene leaves to cherish her memory 3 daughters, Linda (Lamonte) White, Karen (Brian) Dubbeld, Mary (Gary) McClain and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be no public services held at this time.
