Gerald Crotser, 87

Gerald E. Crotser, age 87, of Three Rivers, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Grace Healthcare in Three Rivers. He was born near Colon on March 20, 1933 the son of Charles Aaron and Laura Anna (Yunker) Crotser. He graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1953 and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was married to Linda Tuesley on Sep. 13, 1958 in Three Rivers.

Gerald worked at Dayco Corporation for 25 years until their closing. He later worked at Three Rivers Hospital for 20 years, retiring as the Maintenance Supervisor. He was an active member of the Howardsville Gospel Chapel where he was a bus driver and taught Sunday School. He enjoyed playing on the church softball team, golfing, reading, and joking around with his grandchildren.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Linda; four children, Barry (Laurie) Crotser of Three Rivers, Valerie (Dan) Ferguson of Marcellus, Brian (Shauna) Crotser of Airdrie, Alberta, Cananda, and Laura (Todd) Davis of Lynchburg, VA; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, David Crotser; three sisters, Wava Eckert, Beulah Mader, and Dorothy Bishop; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Joy Crotser; infant twin brothers, Alvin and Allen Crotser; brothers John, Marvin, and Norman Crotser; and sisters, Betty Hassenger and Virginia Simpson.

A private family service will be on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon followed by interment in Moorepark Cemetery, with Rev. Sheldon Combs officiating. A public memorial service will be held later when assembly and travel restrictions have been lifted. It is suggested that memorial donations be directed to the Howardsville Gospel Chapel.
