The family of Lois Helen Britton, age 89, mourns her death on April 23, 2020 at Heartland Healthcare Center of Three Rivers. The youngest daughter of Clarence Pasch and Blanche (DeLoof), born July 4, 1930 in Kalamazoo, MI, Lois was just a few weeks shy of her 90th birthday.
Lois was a 1948 graduate of Central High School in Kalamazoo, lived within a short distance of Kalamazoo all her life, enjoyed a busy career at Newberry’s in Three Rivers, and had a few adventurous years of retirement living aboard a 27’ sailboat on Lake Michigan, and was also a lifelong Detroit Tigers Fan. Her love for gardening was evident at every home she and her husband Bud shared. Her creative energies inspired a wide range of creative ventures in her children and continue through the generations.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister Phyllis (Nuyen) of Kalamazoo and her beloved husband Virgil “Bud” Britton with whom she shared over 55 years of marriage prior to his death in 2004. She was the proud matriarch of a family of six children who survive her, Melissa (Dan Findlay), Robert (Marbella Mojica Figueroa), Ronald (Pam Bingaman), Linda (George Regan), Larry (Janis Smith) and Sharon (John Miller); 17 grandchildren, and a wealth of great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren whom she adored.
