Reminder to complete the 2020 census

St. Joe County Resources is continuing to track by community the percentages of St. Joseph County households that have completed the 2020 U.S. Census.

Agency officials would like to remind the public that every 100 people missed in the Census is $2 million dollars that does not come back to local communities in federal funding.

From highest responses to fewest, here’s a breakdown through the end of last week: Centreville, 59.6 percent; Mendon, 58.9 percent; Three Rivers, 58.2 percent; Constantine, 55.2 percent; Sturgis, 54.4 percent; Burr Oak and Colon, 53.6 percent; and White Pigeon, 50.9 percent.
