Several local events postponed

The St. Joseph County United Way has announced a change to the dates of its second annual “Yards, Barns and Brews” event.

Originally slated for May 1 and 2, the event has been rescheduled to July 17 and 18.

In addition, the fairgrounds announced it, too, is rescheduling the Countywide Garage Sales event to the same weekend.

Attractions will include a pancake breakfast, vendor booths, arts-and-crafts booths, garage sales, antiques, food trucks, local breweries and live music.

Booth space can be reserved at any time.

In addition, the St. Joseph County Solid Waste Committee has canceled its spring household hazardous waste collection and electronics recycling event that was supposed to be Saturday at the fairgrounds.

Also, the Mendon Dust-Off old car show, scheduled for May 3, has been canceled this year.
