Three Rivers sentenced in drug case

A former Three Rivers man will serve eight to 20 years for a drug-related offense.
Kerry Richards II, 43, was sentenced recently for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Richards pleaded guilty to the charge in April 2019. He also entered guilty pleas to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Richards was arrested in March 2019. Other charges in the case were dismissed as part of a plea bargain.
The sentences will be concurrent to four to 15 years he is serving after a plea to home invasion in Cass County in December 2018. Richards also is serving 1 to 10 years for possession of meth in November 2018 in Cass County.
Michigan Department of Corrections indicated Richards will not be eligible for parole until at least mid-2027.
