Camp Fort Hill cancels day camp

Camp Fort Hill’s day camp for 2020 has been canceled due to restrictions related to COVID- 19.

The decision to cancel day camp was made last week by the Camp Fort Hill board of directors, with guidance from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

A statement addressing the community regarding cancellation is available online at campforthill.org/day-camp.

According to the statement, it is not legally or logistically feasible for day camp to operate this year.

Camp officials have reviewed the guidance from CDC, HHS and the governor, and have determined it is feasible to rent camp facilities after June 12. Camp rentals will be subject to updated policies and procedures related to COVID-19 safety considerations.
