Jamie Palmer, 46

Jamie Lee Palmer, age 46, of Centreville, lost his battle to Glioblastoma April 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 21, 1973 in Marshall, the son of Lula (Goodman) Cross and the late Jackie Palmer. Jamie grew up in Burlington, where he made numerous friends and memories that were sure to make you laugh.

On June 30, 2007 Jamie married Shannon Jacobs. The couple resided in Centreville raising 4 children.

Jamie attended Union City High School where he played football and wrestled, earning multiple awards and graduated the class of 1992. Jamie worked in the RV industry his whole life. He enjoyed coaching his daughters in softball and coaching middle school and high school wrestling. He loved to play pool in his free time which led him to eventually create his own pool league, PEP pool league. Jamie was very family oriented, spending a lot of his time cooking and entertaining, hosting multiple kickball games and gatherings during the summer months.

Jamie is survived by his wife Shannon Palmer of Centreville, his four children; Harlie (Spencer) Schrader of Three Rivers, Bailey (Bailey Tyler) Clipfell of Colon, McKenna Carpenter of Centreville and Braylon Palmer of Centreville. One grandson, Nash Schrader. Five siblings Barbara (Tyler) Hemker of Quincy, Allison Goodman of Hillsdale, Michelle (Dustin) Danke of Burlington, Jeremy (Rebecca) Palmer of Jackson, Monica Heath-Bivens of Battle Creek, his mother Lula (Goodman) Cross of Athens and multiple nieces and nephews.

Jamie was preceded in death by his father Jackie Palmer and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Following in Jamie’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at schipperfuneralhome.com.
