KVCC Announces Tuition Rates for 2020-2021 Academic Year

During its scheduled meeting Monday morning, the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Board of Trustees approved a 3.6% increase in tuition and fees (in-district residents) for the 2020-2021 academic year.

“This overall package of tuition and fees provides students an affordable option when compared to other colleges and universities,”said Dr. L. Marshall Washington, college president. “In response to the increasing student demand for online courses, the distance learning fee is significantly reduced as compared to previous semesters.”

Tuition and Fees
In-District $114 per contact hour
Out-of-District $197 per contact hour
Out-of-State $264 per contact hour
International $299 per contact hour

Non-refundable General Fees and Non-refundable Usage Fees
General Fees (applicable to all students registering for courses):
$36 per semester enrollment fee
$89 per semester general fee

Usage Fees (applicable only to those students using specific services/programs)
$5 per contact hour distance learning fee for all students enrolled in online or hybrid courses
$200 per contact hour fee for students enrolling in the same class more than three times.

Fall semester at Kalamazoo Valley begins on September 8 and will likely include a mix of face-to-face and online courses.
