Here’s the latest update from Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the reconstruction of U.S. 131 in Three Rivers.
Stage 5 traffic pattern remains in place, meaning all traffic will use the southbound lane of U.S. 131. Meanwhile, some utility-relocation work will continue this week throughout the length of the construction zone.
Also, traffic on Michigan Avenue is one-way for westbound motorists only. A detour is posted for eastbound traffic wishing to use Michigan Avenue.
MDOT crews will ensure access to businesses will be available at all times.
Furthermore, a team of workers will be removing pavement and begin road-building south of Michigan Avenue.
In addition, crews will be laying storm pipe in various locations, while curbs and gutters will be placed on Michigan Avenue early in the week.
Finally, MDOT notes that electrical subcontractors will be doing signal work at various locations through the length of the project.
