Centreville plans gift card match program

Centreville Downtown Development Authority has committed $5,000 toward a gift-card promotion that saw great success in Sturgis and Three Rivers last month.

DDA officials announced plans to match a $25 gift certificate purchased to a non- franchise, non-chain retail business in the DDA district.

Pattie Bender, program manager for Centreville DDA, said the promotion will provide a financial boost when businesses can open.

Gift certificates can be purchased during regular hours at the Centreville branch of Southern Michigan Bank & Trust starting Monday through June 30, or until the $5,000 in matching funds has been exhausted.

Although not all businesses have confirmed they will participate, eligible businesses are Hair Depot and X- treme Hair Lengths, Tedrow’s Florist, Lil’ Louie’s Pizza and Subs, The Local, Royal Café and Yoder’s Country Market.
