Glen Oaks Community College faculty and staff members will begin returning to work at the Centreville-area campus today.
President David Devier said the college is taking essential precautions to protect health of students, faculty, staff and visitors.
It has created a “Return to Work” plan that incorporates best practices, taking into consideration recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, Devier said, adding that the school’s work environment will look different to address new, safe work measures.
The main points of the plan call for a phased reopening, with Phase 2 beginning today. Phase 3 will result in the campus opening to the public following safety protocols. Phase 4 marks a campus-wide return to normal operations.
The plan addresses personal-protective equipment, social distancing and workplace sanitization.
