St. Joseph County Intermediate School District continues to work on plans for the next school year, putting its focus on what to do if the region remains in Phase 4 of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s “Safe Start” plan.
Currently, the ISD is considering a hybrid in-person and virtual model.
ISD superintendent Teresa Belote said the agency is building plans related to a variety of scenarios, though the goal is to have a plan ready for the board at its Aug. 10 meeting.
Meanwhile, the board approved the parent-student handbook for Pathfinder Educational Center off-site programs, noting there will be addenda relating to code of conduct for mask usage, as the ISD receives more information.
