Marilyn Mae Erbisch, age 75, of Mendon, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. She was born in Vicksburg on Nov. 6, 1944 the daughter of Olin R. and Imogene A. (Butler) Spence. She graduated from Mendon High School with the Class of 1963. She attended the West Mendon United Methodist Church, now known as the West Mendon Community Church. Marilyn had worked for the Haas Corporation and Courtney Poultry Farm in Mendon; for Electrowire in Mason; and retired from T-H Plastics in Mendon. In her leisure time she enjoyed fishing, reading, and socializing with friends.
Marilyn is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Charlotte Erbisch of Mason; three grandchildren, Kaity Erbisch, Steven (Emily) Erbisch, and Matthew (Sarah Schertel) Erbisch; three great-grandchildren, Lilyan Spenny, Kaiden Erbisch and Gavin Erbisch; a brother, Bill (Jan) Spence of Mendon; a sister, Jean (Greg) Wilkinson of Dallas, TX; sister in law, Jean Spence of Anaheim, CA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Bill Erbisch in 2015; sister, Marlene Finley; and brother, Tom Spence.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Monday, July 13, 2020 at the West Mendon Community Church, 22994 Portage Lake Rd., Mendon 49072. Funeral services will begin at 11 am Monday at the church with Pastor Rob Wagler officiating, and will be live-streamed on the West Mendon Community Church Facebook page. COVID-19 distancing will be observed. Burial will be in Scott-Doane Cemetery. Memorial contributions will be directed to the great-grandchildren’s education fund.
