Richard A. Yoder, age 78, of White Pigeon, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at his home.
Richard was born on May 23, 1942 in Kalamazoo, a son to the late Ray and Emaline (Lammer) Yoder.
Richard graduated from White Pigeon High School and continued his education for five more years at a union trades school. Richard moved to his current residence in 1999 coming from the Centreville area.
On October 18, 1980 Richard married Mary Loudenslager in White Pigeon.
Richard worked as a union pipefitter and plumber. He and Mary also owned (IPM), Industrial Piping and Maintenance in Sturgis for 29 years. Richard also farmed earlier in his life. Richard loved farming and fishing, and also enjoyed cooking.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Loudenslager of White Pigeon, daughter, Jodie (William) Stauffer of Marcellus, adopted son, Troy Yoder, grandchildren: Erica (Matthew) Roberts of Three Rivers and Natasha (Samuel) Miesse of Dayton, Ohio, several great grandchildren, sister Mary Jo (Dean) Sprunger of Constantine, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents Richard was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Yoder.
Following in Richards wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue Fund of St. Joseph county in memory of Richard.
