A Dowagiac woman died after she was accidentally run over by a golf cart driven by her husband.
Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called around 1:30 p.m. Friday to a location on 67th Street in Wayne Township in response to a golf-cart crash with injuries.
First responders told authorities they found that a female subject had been run over in her yard. First responders tried to revive the victim without success.
The victim, Patricia Corbidge, 79, was riding in a cart driven by 82-year-old Edward Corbridge. Investigators said alcohol and drugs were not factors in this crash.
Assisting at the scene were members from Dowagiac Fire, Wayne Township Fire and Pride Care ambulance service.
