Glen Oaks Community College President David Devier recently shared details of the school’s preparedness plan for next week’s campus reopening with students.
The plan addresses guidelines and expectations for the main campus. The health and safety of every member of the Glen Oaks community is a top priority, he said.
The plan may change per mandates from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, federal and state governments, and our local health department.
Although some class sections are expected to remain face-to-face, with a reduced maximum capacity, some class sections have been converted to a hybrid format. Devier, meanwhile, noted that a small number of sections have been converted to fully online instruction.
Students, guests and campus employees are required to wear face-coverings. The plan also shares campus protocols and guidelines for sanitization, disinfection, social distancing, and prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
Classes start Monday.
