A Three Rivers-area business has established a permanent link to a component of Armstrong Park.
Representatives from R&R Aluminum Trailers were joined by park staff and AYSO members Wednesday at the 77-acre park to recognize R&R owners Robert Brewer and Rick Daniels.
The two made a $40,000 donation to sponsor one of three football fields at the multi-sport complex, located between North Main Street and Buckhorn Road. Daniels said the sponsorship will be at the main field, which will feature a scoreboard and other amenities.
Daniels, who was a member of Three Rivers’ first Rocket Football team, said after seeing the complex, he is more excited than ever to be a part of it.
Daniels said he and Brewer have been best friends since seventh grade and overseen R&R since its creation 26 years ago.
