Two organizations announce golf outings

Two golf outings, both fundraisers for their respective organizations, have been announced.

The St. Joseph County Conservation District will hold its annual scramble Sept. 12 at Green Valley Golf Course in Sturgis Township. Tee time is 9 a.m. and cost is $60 per person.

Proceeds benefit programs such as river cleanup, a tree for every fourth-grade student in the county, salmon in high school biology classrooms, the bug brigade and invasive-species management.

Meanwhile, the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual outing Sept. 22 at Sauganash Country Club.

Shotgun start is 11 a.m. and cost is $75 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and prizes.
