Minor injuries in Lockport crash

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a three-vehicle collision last week in Lockport Township.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies were called at 2:20 p.m. Thursday to Buckhorn Road, near Arizona Boulevard, in response to a multi-vehicle crash.

Authorities said a GMC pickup, driven by a 25-year-old Three Rivers man, was southbound on Buckhorn Road and the driver apparently did not see a vehicle ahead of him slowing for another vehicle making a turn.

The driver of the pickup side-swiped a Jeep ahead of him. It was driven by a 36-year-old female from Three Rivers. The pickup then veered into the northbound lane of Buckhorn Road and struck a SUV driven by a 52-year-old Three Rivers woman.

The drivers of both SUVs were transported to Three Rivers Health for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup was cited, though speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Seatbelts were worn by all drivers.
