Withdrawal management service offered locally

A new service offered through Three Rivers Health begins operation today.

“New Vision,” which provides drug and alcohol medical-stabilization service, is a process to manage withdrawal through the use of medication under the care of nurses and doctors.

It is available to anyone 18 years of age and older who is misusing certain substances, including opiates, alcohol, illegal drugs and prescription drugs.

Service coordinator Brigette Sitarski said potential patients will be screened over the phone to determine whether they qualify for services. New Vision’s phone number is 467-0070.
