The Salvation Army in St. Joseph County will begin accepting applications for Christmas assistance beginning today through Nov. 13.
Applicants are required to provide a photo ID for head of household only, birth certificates or shot records for each child age 16 and younger, and proof of income for the entire household for the last 30 days.
The Salvation Army will serve families with children years of age and younger. Qualified seniors age 60 and over will get a food gift card.
An application can be obtained by phoning 651-4275.
There are instructions for returning applications without having to come to the North Fourth Street office.
