Michigan Department of Transportation has announced crews will begin the final stage of U.S. 131 reconstruction in Three Rivers starting today.
Traffic will be in the right lanes of northbound and southbound U.S. 131 while construction is completed on the median and Michigan-left turn lanes.
Construction is expected to be completed by Nov. 15. Until then, left turns will be open as construction allows, MDOT said.
No left turns or through-traffic will be permitted at Coon Hollow Road and Arnold Street. Because of the new median on U.S. 131, those roads will be right-turn only; Coon Hollow Road to southbound U.S. 131, and Arnold Street to northbound U.S. 131.
The $20 million, 2.3-mile upgrade started in March 2019.
