Six area high school varsity football teams will be in action this weekend during the second round of Michigan High School Athletic Association’s playoffs.
With two games on tap this evening and three more Saturday, the slate begins with Mendon at No. 1-ranked Reading at 7 o’clock tonight.
Meanwhile, a battle of St. Joseph County schools kicks off, also at 7, in Centreville, where the undefeated and No. 2-ranked Bulldogs take on White Pigeon.
In eight-man football Saturday, Marcellus will play a road game at Lawrence, while Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian takes on defending state champion Colon. Both games start at 1 p.m.
Also at 1 o’clock Saturday, Constantine will host Parchment in an 11-man contest.
