St. Joseph County officials heard an update this week on committee appointments.
During Tuesday’s executive committee meeting, board chairman Dennis Allen noted the St. Joseph County Road Commission Board has one member whose term expires at the end of the year. Allen noted two people have applied for the six-year position.
He and commissioner Dan Czajkowski will represent the county on the interview committee. Two road commission representatives and two township supervisors will complete the interview team.
Meanwhile, there are eight applicants for one vacancy on the Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Board Services of St. Joseph County Board.
Finally, there is one applicant for two openings on the St. Joseph County Transportation Authority Board. Commissioner Allen Balog said he has spoken to city managers in Three Rivers and Sturgis for help in identifying quality potential candidates.
