Community Health Agency honors board members

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency recently honored three outgoing board members for their service to the tri-county department.

The members, who also are county commissioners, are leaving their elected office at the end of the year.

Commissioner Bruce Caswell, from Hillsdale County, has served six years on the board of health and as board chairman in his sixth year.

Commissioner Terri Norris, from Branch County, has served four years on the board of health. A former elected prosecutor, Norris said she will miss the information she received as a board of health member and is proud of what was accomplished while serving on the board, including four years on its finance committee.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Allen Balog, from St. Joseph County, has served 10 years on the board of health and as board chairman two times. Balog has served on the finance committee and the program, policy and appeals committee.
