Funding for a project sought by Glen Oaks Community College was included in a $465 million package approved last week by members of Michigan’s House of Representatives.
A portion of the supplemental budget is the final construction authorization for the college’s capital outlay project, initiated more than two years ago.
It calls for the renovation of the north side of campus, including the library, technical labs, art studio, business classrooms, restrooms and replacement of the bowed exterior walls.
The allocation is a part of Senate Bill 748, which is headed to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for her consideration.
