Joan Kelley, 85

Joan M. Kelley, age 85, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange.
She was born Nov. 23, 1935, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., a daughter of the late Ed and Helen (Dewitt) Shannon.
On March 5, 1955, she married William M. Kelley in Three Rivers. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 2010.
Joan was a homemaker and resided in Three Rivers and Centreville most of her life. She enjoyed traveling and her and William were “snowbirds” in Florida for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Beck of Sebring, Fla., and Kathleen (Michael) Moore of Sturgis; a son, Kevin (Linda) Kelley of Sturgis; grandchildren Jim Frederick, Dave Frederick, Kristin (Jason) Kushner, Matthew Beck, Jennifer (Matthew) Haack, William (Jennifer) Rider, Justin (Kristen) Moore, Ashley (Tony) Bell, Zachery (Laura) Kelley, and Ashley Kelley and Zack Gordon; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Colleen Shannon.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to conditions with the COVID-19 pandemic and restriction of gatherings, a private family memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Joan M. Kelley will be held.
